Busy-Bite: Continued work from home is worth a pay cut, say Americans – 9to5Mac

This is what is amazing to me. People are willing to work from home for less. And the economics of it makes sense. You save money on gas, likely car insurance, food, etc. For many, they’re even more productive as a result. Plus, there’s the environmental benefit of fewer cars on the road, alleviating traffic issues in some areas, and so on.

Companies need to consider flexibility when possible. I don’t even recommend they offer reduced compensation for those who choose to work from home. If the company is able to downsize their office(s), that can also yield a cost savings to the firm and not off the backs of their most important asset, their people.
