Paul Harvey | Professor of Management and Co-Host of The Busyness Paradox
Paul Harvey is a professor of management at the University of New Hampshire Paul College of Business and Economics. He earned his PhD in organizational behavior from Florida State University. He also holds an MBA from Binghamton University and a BS in finance from the University of Connecticut.
He studies workplace perceptions, emotions, and behavior, with a focus on psychological entitlement and conflict. His research spans 14 books and 47 academic journal articles. In addition, media outlets such as NPR, BBC Radio, Fortune, and Fox News have featured his work.
Paul also co-hosts The Busyness Paradox, a workplace podcast focused on leadership, strategy, and the modern workplace.
He has taught in the United States as well as in Budapest, Hungary. He has also traveled globally with Semester at Sea. Before entering academia, he worked in corporate finance and co-owned a small home improvement business.
Work and Research Focus
Paul studies how people think, feel, and behave at work. Specifically, he examines how perceptions of fairness, entitlement, and conflict shape workplace dynamics and decision making.
Outside the Classroom
Outside of his academic work, Paul enjoys writing about himself in the third person. He also takes on DIY projects that are often beyond his abilities.
